Outside my window... The sun is coming up over the mountains, not a cloud in the sky. Maggie (golden retriever) is running through the sprinklers, she want to come back in soon.
I am thinking...About Art's retirement, moving to New England area, jobs, houses, and trying not to panic!
I am thankful for... My dh, 2 dc and hot coffee.
From the kitchen...Lasagna w/ salad and bread for dinner.
I am wearing...Grey gym shorts, bright blue tee and tennies. Haven't taken the time to change since working out this am.
I am creating...A scappy quilt picnic blanket from recycled jeans and working on our scrapbook from 2001 (better late than never)
I am going...Nowhere!! at least until soccer practice at 5pm.
I am reading...How to cheat at Organizing by Jeff Brendenberg
I am hoping...to get the chance to download the "Mamma Mia" soundtrack today and set a new workout playlist on my iPOD.
I am hearing...the kids chat about their dreams at they eat breakfast. Also, the F-16 have started flying already...the sounds of freedom!
Around the house...putting some new organizing tips to work in my zones this week (living rm and dining/entry). We have also started school already, so we will busy working & learning.
One of my favorite things...listening to my husband sing, especially when he is cantoring at Mass.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:school, field trip to the training range, getting the van in for service, and maybe a lazy afternoon by the pool.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Michelle,
You and your family look beautiful, as usual. The kids are growing like weeds. Sounds like you keep yourself busy. Art, congrats on your soon retirement. I too am preparing for retirement, medical retirement. The AF doesn't think the ole back is good enough anymore.
If your "thinking" about visiting Vegas befor you depart to the New England area, please, give us a call. It would be great to see y'all in person.
Thank you for including us in your families life.

I enjoyed your daybook. My nephew is a pilot for the Air Force and I love the sound of FREEDOM flying over head.
God bless you this week.

I meant to add, really cool summer blanket idea. I'm going to do that. I would never do anything with jeans, but making a summer blanket like that makes perfect sense and it looks so pretty. Guess I better head to the thrift store and collect me some. Did you use a pattern?

AllyJo -- No pattern. Used scraps of red/white/blue fabric sewn to blocks of muslin, then every other with blocks of jean. Just fun and creative. And thanks for your blessing, we are a AF family coming to the end of a 20 yrs career. We are ready for the next phase, but will miss certain things.
